The Reopening of Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts Public Counters

Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts is pleased to announce that our public counters have reopened for in person service as of Friday, October 1, 2021.

The pandemic has forced everyone, including Los Angeles County, to change how they do business. For the past year, we have been communicating with customers online and over the phone and these services will continue to be available as before. However, some matters work better in person and we are excited to resume face-to-face interactions with the public.

Prior to entering a facility or attending an in-person meeting, please conduct a self-check by answering the following screening questions:

  • Do you have COVID-19 symptoms?

  • Do you have an elevated body temp (greater than or equal to 100.4°F or 38°C)?

  • Are you currently subject to a Health Officer Isolation or Quarantine Order?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, please conduct your business transaction online or by phone or attend the meeting virtually.

Masks are required at all times for all visitors and staff in accordance with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidance, available here.

Our Malibu and Lancaster offices are now open from 8am through 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Phone customer service is available until 5pm by calling (877) 637-3661.

For your convenience, My Waterworks Account Manager (MyWAM) is available to easily access and manage your account online, view billing/consumption history, make payments free of charge, and register for Autopay and eBill services. Please visit https://dpw.lacounty.gov/mywam to register for MyWAM. Additionally, our 24-hour self-help phone payment system is available by calling (877) 637-3661.

We recognize that some County residents are experiencing challenges with paying rent and utilities such as their water bills. The Housing is Key program offers assistance for unpaid rent and renters past due utility bills. We urge those impacted by COVID-19 to apply for this assistance. To verify eligibility and for more information, visit https://housing.ca.gov/ or call (833) 430-2122.

For urgent non-emergency requests, call the County’s 24-hour Dispatch Center at (800) 675-HELP (4357) or download and report requests through The Works app.

We look forward to seeing you!
