Palmdale, CA – Following its tradition of electing new officers every two years, the Palmdale Water District (PWD) Board of Directors on Monday night named Don Wilson as its new President.

After the unanimous vote, President Wilson graciously allowed Director Gloria Dizmang to finish presiding over her last meeting as president. He will take over at the Board’s next meeting on Jan. 23.

“I am very humbled and honored that my fellow Board members elected me to this leadership role,” said President Wilson, a retired sales rep who represents Division 2. “I look forward to continuing to work cohesively for the betterment of our customers and staff.”

The Vice President position went to Director Scott Kellerman of Division 1. Filling the remaining positions are Director Kathy Mac Laren- Gomez as Treasurer, Director Vincent Dino as Secretary and Director Dizmang as Assistant Secretary. The assignments expire in January 2025.

Director Kellerman is the co-owner of Antelope Valley Harley-Davidson, and Director Dino, who represents Division 5, is a retired 35-year journeyman electrician. Representing Division 4 is Director Mac Laren-Gomez, who works in business development for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers/National Electrical Contractors Association LMCC.

Director Dizmang, the Division 3 representative who is a retired educator, thanked and congratulated her peers.

“Before I step off as President, I would like to thank everyone for their cooperation,” she said. “It has definitely been a positive experience for me and definitely a learning experience.”
