Palmdale Shines with Four STAR Awards 2023
PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale won four third place awards at the 26th Annual STAR Awards presented by the States of California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN NATOA) for videos in the categories of:
• Economic Development for Business of the Week – Ronz Hair Studio
• Food and Travel for Business of the Week – MV Burgers & BBQ
• Parks & Recreation for Palmdale Presents – Summer ConcertSeries
• Promotion (Under $400K) for Palmdale Small Business Saturday 2022
“These awards bring recognition to Palmdale and demonstrate what we can accomplish by working together, including through collaboration between our City’s Communications division, and Economic Development and Parks and Recreation departments,” said Mayor Laura Bettencourt. “Our staff are always looking for innovative ways to promote local businesses and offer outstanding community events like our summer concert series.”
Palmdale competed with a record number of entries from the California, Nevada and Hawaii chapters of SCAN NATOA. SCAN NATOA is the Southern California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, a nonprofit professional organization serving local governments and regional authorities in developing, regulating, and administering cable franchises and other telecommunications systems.
