Palmdale Sheriff's Department cracks down on retail theft in Palmdale.

Palmdale, Ca.- Palmdale Sheriff’s Station collaborated with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Organized Retail Crime Taskforce (ORCTF) last week on an undercover operation at retail establishments on 47th Street East (Target, Home Depot, and Lowes).

The operation resulted in a total of eight (8) arrests - five (5) felony arrests and three (3) misdemeanor arrests. One suspect was found to be in possession of an illegal firearm as well. A total of $2,437.48 of store merchandise was stolen and recovered during the operation.

As the holidays approach, you will see an increase in undercover operations at our local retailers to deter retail theft during the holiday shopping season.
