PALMDALE – The seventh annual Kaleidoscope Art & Music Festival will reach new heights with Kaleidoscope After Dark, an opening night celebration on Friday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Palmdale Amphitheater, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. Kaleidoscope After Dark will be filled with live and illuminated entertainment, including the Antelope Valley’s first-ever drone show taking flight over the festival. Captivating live entertainment on the ground will include mesmerizing Light Beings and the electrified glow-in-the-dark dance extravaganza iLuminate.

Tickets for Kaleidoscope After Dark are $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under with a ticket reservation. A $10 tasting ticket with admission and four tastings for guests 21 and older is also available.

The festivities continue on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 am to 6 pm. Enjoy live music on two stages, including world music acts on Kaleidoscope’s main Tapestry Stage. The Mosaic Stage showcases local musicians, vocalists, and a spoken word poetry workshop.

Take free painting lessons, with workshops for adults and children, or watch the artistic process as live artists create beautiful murals and chalk art throughout the day. See plein air and cellograff demonstrations or view art created by local emerging artists of all ages in the ArtLight tent.

Shop for unique items at the Kaleidoscope Market, including original art by professional artists, junior makers, fresh-made market foods, and crafts. Sample food and beverages from local brewing companies, wineries, and some of the Antelope Valley’s best food trucks.

Entertainment and activities abound at Kaleidoscope, including free activities in the Youth Inspiration area where parents and children can unleash their creativity. Be sure to complete the City’s Public Art Survey at the event and visit the community partner booths for free items and information.
