Hispanic Heritage packed the house

Lake Los Angeles – Stephen Sorensen Regional Community Park - On October 4, 2024, the community of Lake Los Angeles celebrated Hispanic Heritage at the park with a festivity for its excited families.

Every table and chair were filled with families and more tables and chairs were set up to accommodate the happy crowd. Among the activities was food tasting, games, arts and crafts, music and dancing.

Pictured is Bryan Guijarro, Ludy Huezo, Luz Rodriguez and Carlos Baltazar, the SBCC team that paired with the park employees to put on the event in front of the photo booth where families posed for their keepsake pictures.

Carlos said, “The SBCC team attended the Hispanic Heritage Night at Sorensen Park in Lake Los Angeles and supported the set-up, clean up and event agenda. It was fun playing dominoes and eating Hispanic plates with the community.

“We were also treated to a dance by the Aztec group “Sr. de los Milagros” which was enchanting. This was us after the event.”
