Palmdale,Ca.- The community of the Antelope Valley gathered on Saturday at noon to celebrate Gabriel Fernandez 18th birthday at 249 East Ave Q10 in Palmdale.

Gabriel Fernandez died on May 24, 2013,

after years of torture and abuse. Fernandez mother was sentenced to life in prison without parole and her boyfriend was sentenced to death.

Another case/trial that's happening is the one of Anthony Avalos. The 10-year-old boy’s mother Heather Barron and her boyfriend Kareem Leiva are accused of abusing him to death in a similar manner.
