Flash Flood Warning
Palmdale, Ca.-The National Weather Service issued a Flood Warning and Flash Flood warnings that continue for the Antelope Valley and LA County.
FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM PDT THIS
EVENING FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY..
At 441 PM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling across the warned area. Between 2 and 5
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring, some freeways and other road are flooded, and rock and mudslides are possible.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain from
Tropical Storm Hilary producing flash flooding.
Radar and automated gauges, and law enforcement reports.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Lake Los Angeles, Acton, Wrightwood, Palmdale, Lancaster, Mount Wilson, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, Glendora, San Dimas, Altadena, Quartz Hill, Pearblossom, Llano, Littlerock, Lake Palmdale,
Elizabeth Lake, Lake Hughes, La Canada Flintridge and Sylmar.

Instructions: Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
