Palmdale, Ca.-Paraclete High School is proud to announce that former Paraclete Spirit, Erick Jackson, has been named the new varsity football coach at Paraclete High School.

A 2002 graduate of Paraclete, Jackson was a standout player and part of two CIF championship teams during his high school career.

After Paraclete, Jackson played running back for legendary coach John Robinson at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He then extended his playing career with two years of professional indoor football for the Nebraska Danger.

Jackson’s ties to Paraclete run deep. After earning his degree at UNLV, he reconnected with the school thanks to a fateful encounter with Principal John Anson. This led to a 12-year tenure on the Paraclete staff, during which Jackson served as a teacher, dean, and coach. He contributed to multiple championship football teams under the leadership of coaches Norm Dahlia and Dean Herrington.

Paraclete High School Principal John Anson emphasized, “High School sports play a crucial role in shaping character. At Paraclete, our mission is not only to nurture a strong faith life in our students but also to ensure that every student has the opportunity to attend college – with 99% of our graduates continuing on to higher education. Erick Jackson embodies the values every parent hopes to see in a mentor: unwavering character, a faith-filled approach that inspires hope, and the football expertise necessary to lead our team to championships. He will both teach and coach and be a positive impact across the campus.

Jackson’s commitment to shaping young lives extends beyond the football field. Alongside his wife, Jada, he co-founded “Elevate,” a company dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills and mindset to succeed in life and sports while making a positive impact in their communities.

Married with five children, Jackson embraces his new role with excitement and purpose. “It’s a privilege and honor to have this opportunity,” he said. “I hope to make a positive impact on the Paraclete community as a whole, and my main goal within the football program is to help raise young men who exemplify high character and a great work ethic.

Jackson is eager to continue the rich tradition of Paraclete football while inspiring and guiding the next generation of student-athletes.
