Emoji drug code decoded

Lake Los Angeles – On Wednesday afternoon March 15, 2023 at Challenger Middle School Courageous Conversations was the setting for educating community members about fake prescription drugs, Fentanyl, other drugs and the emoji codes used by dealers, distributors and customers in identifying the purchase of their choice.

The program was presented to the community by Strength Based Community Change (SBCC) and the Wilsona School District.

These emojis were shared by Los Angeles County Public Health in their PowerPoint presentation and backed up by a plain fact discussion by LLA Resident Deputy Gilberto Borruel.

Check the phones used by your children. If you see any of these codes, you need to get help as quickly as possible.

These emojis reflect common examples found in DEA investigations and shared with the public as an aid to identify and help in the fight against the Fentanyl crisis in America.

America is experiencing chemical warfare. It is time to recognize it for what it is.

There will be more Courageous Conversations being held with SBCC and the Wilsona School District, so please watch for announcements and fliers for dates and times.
