City of Palmdale Expands Accessibility to Parks and Recreation Programs with Youth Scholarships
Palmdale, CA — The City of Palmdale is excited to announce that applications are now open for summer Parks and Recreation program scholarships, reaffirming our commitment to increasing access to recreational activities for low-income residents.
“No child should be denied the opportunity to engage in the diverse programming our City offers due to financial constraints,” said Mayor Bishop. “We are proud to offer scholarships to eligible residents, ensuring that every child can explore and grow through our parks and recreation initiatives.”
Palmdale residents are encouraged to apply to alleviate the costs of participating in City programming. Applications are available for the following programs: Recreation, Dusty’s Kids (one-day tickets to DryTown Water Park), Recreation Swim and Swim Safety. The scholarships are awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria on a first-come, first-served basis. Submit your application early to ensure funds are still available!
