Authorities Searching for Program Participant Who Walked Away From Bakersfield Reentry Program
BAKERSFIELD — California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are seeking an incarcerated person who today walked away from a Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP) in Bakersfield.
At 3:24 p.m., CDCR officials received a tamper alert for Alejandro Ramos’ GPS device. Staff immediately initiated an emergency count, confirming Martinez was missing. Within minutes, agents from CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety were directed to locate and apprehend Martinez and notification was made to local law enforcement.
Ramos, 34, is 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 190 pounds. He has brown eyes, red or auburn hair and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweat shorts and white shoes.
Ramos was received from Kern County on Sept. 9, 2022. He was sentenced to six years for assault with a deadly weapon as a second striker.
Anyone who sees Ramos or has knowledge of their whereabouts should immediately call 911.
