Angeles Forest Highway closure starting Wednesday night

Palmdake, CA.- Los Angeles County Department of Public Works plans to close Angeles Forest Highway tonight (Wednesday) after commuter traffic hours and it will be closed through Friday.

Public Works expect they can reopen the highway Friday evening. However, temperatures and icy conditions may keep it closed until Saturday morning.

Public Works said they were told the mountain weather forecast is for 1.25 inches of rain from midnight tonight until 4 a.m. Thursday, and then five inches of snow from 5 a.m. Thursday through 6 p.m. Thursday.
