A driver was arrested for multiple charges and warrants in Palmdale.

Palmdale, CA.-On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at approximately 11:50 A.M., deputies from our Partners Against Crime (PAC) unit were conducting a patrol check on the eastside of Palmdale when they ran the license plate of a vehicle. The return came back as a felony vehicle, armed and dangerous.

As they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled northbound and out of view. Deputies went in pursuit of the vehicle and briefly lost sight of it.

While attempting to relocate the vehicle, one of the deputies saw a female Hispanic, matching the description of the front passenger of the vehicle, walking southbound on 25th Street East. While detaining her, the deputy heard several people screaming near Ave. Q-14. As he approached, he saw the suspect vehicle was involved in a traffic collision. One of our observant citizens informed the deputy, that the driver fled northbound through a construction site. A containment was established and the driver was later located inside the containment.

A firearm was also located in the area the suspect fled to.

The driver was arrested for multiple charges and had several outstanding arrest warrants for attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, parole violation, and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

The passenger was arrested for evading.

This is just one incident of the exemplary work our Partners Against Crime deputies here at Palmdale Station handle on a regular basis. It also highlights the outstanding observations of one of our Palmdale citizens helping us take serious criminals off our streets.
