Palmdale, CA.-A Republican congressman is proposing the creation of a new $250 U.S. dollar bill that prominently features Donald Trump’s face.
The bill's sponsor says a new $250 bill will help "families carry less cash," while also celebrating the president on the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The U.S. Code strictly prohibits living individuals from being depicted on currency.
As per U.S. Code Title 31, specifically section 5114, only the portrait of a deceased individual is permitted to appear on United States currency and securities.
