4 Drivers were arrested during a DUI Checkpoint
Palmdale, Ca. -This past weekend the Antelope Valley CHP, with assistance of the AV CHP Senior Volunteers, conducted a Sobriety and Driver’s License Checkpoint.
The goal was to ensure safe roads with the absence of impaired drivers.
313 Vehicles went through the check point.
189 Vehicles were screened.
16 drivers were administered Field Sobriety Tests (FTS’s)
4 Drivers were arrested for DUI
2 Citations were issued for driving on a suspended license.
2 Citations were issued for driving without a license.
2 Citations were issued for seatbelt violations.
Driving while impaired is a dangerous and irresponsible behavior that puts everyone on the road at risk.
Alcohol, drugs, and even prescription medication can all impair one's ability to drive safely.
Together, we can make our roads safer and prevent needless accidents.
