President Robert “Bob” Davis, whose term on the AV High School District Board of Trustees was set to end 2020, has resign.  This  resignation came after months of controversy, and a recall campaign in which thousands of signatures were collected to recall three AVUHSD Board Members: Davis, Parrell, and Ruffin. Davis’ Trustee Area No. 3 now vacant, the board will have to take action on their  November 14th, 2019 meeting to go ahead an appoint someone or wait for the general  election in 2020. According to the letter Davi’s resigned on November 4th , 2019, in the letter does not explain the cause of his resignation.
