DUI HEAD ON CAR ACCIDENT IN PALMDALE
Four people, including two children, were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Palmdale Sunday evening. The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. near 47th Street East and Palmdale Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved.
On November 3, 2019, at approximately 5:10 PM, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a vehicle vs. vehicle collision at 50th Street East, north of Palmdale Boulevard, in the city of Palmdale.Preliminary facts of this investigation indicate a 2014 Honda Civic, driven by a 36 year old male, was travelling south bound on 50th Street East and struck a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 28 year old female, which was travelling north bound on 50th Street East. Based upon the evidence, the Honda crossed the double yellow lines colliding with the Jeep head on. The passengers in the Honda were a 32 year old female, 12 year old female, and 10 year old male. Both children were airlifted to Children’s Hospital due to major injuries. All three adults were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. A driving under the influence of alcohol investigation was conducted and the driver of the Honda was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with injuries. There are no further details at this time. Two of the four victims were critically injured but the condition of the injured children was unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
