Seniors should beware of criminals pretending to represent Medicare to gain personal information.

The scammers ask for Social Security numbers, bank account details and other information. Then, they use the information they received to steal the victims’ identity and money.
TIPS:
Hang up and don’t share your personal or financial information with unsolicited callers.
Call your insurance company or Medicare if you have questions about your benefits status.
Report suspected healthcare scams to the Federal Trade Commission at 877-FTC-HELP or ftc.gov/complaint.
