Palmdale Parents Charged with Death of 4 Year Old Son.
Murder charges were filed today against the parents of a 4-year-old boy who died this summer in Palmdale, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Jose Maria Cuatro Jr. (dob 11/17/91) and Ursula Elaine Juarez (dob 2/9/94), both of Palmdale, each face one count of murder and torture in case MA077318. Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami of the Complex Child Abuse Section said Cuatro also faces one count of assault on a child causing death and Juarez faces one count of child abuse resulting in death.
Arraignment is scheduled today in Department A01 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Antelope Valley Branch.
The victim, identified in the complaint as Noah C. was allegedly killed on July 5, the prosecutor said.
Bail is recommended at $3 million. If convicted as charged, both defendants face a possible maximum sentence of 32 years to life in state prison.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
