DMV caught 106 people misusing disabled person parking placards in August 2019

Sacramento – Investigators with the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) caught 106 people misusing disabled person parking placards during 21 enforcement operations in August 2019. Offenders had their placard confiscated and face fines that range from $250 to $1,000. During the past two months, DMV investigators have issued 251 citations and verified 3,536 disabled person parking placards were being used properly. The DMV holds as many as 24 enforcement operations each month throughout the state targeted at curbing disabled person parking placard abuse.
