Mother arrested for Willful Cruelty to a Child
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, the victim was taken the victim to Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) for a burn to his right elbow. During the medical examination at LLUMC, forensic pediatricians found numerous other injuries to the victim, many of them in different stages of healing. All of the victim’s injuries were consistent with suspected child abuse. The victim is currently hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Investigators determined the 2-month-old victim resides in Victorville with his biological mother, Lashaundre Doss. Following an extensive investigation involving Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Crimes Against Children Division, the Victorville Sheriff’s Station and Forensic Pediatricians from LLUMC, Doss was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019. She was booked at Central Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child and bail was set at $100,000.
