A report of a woman missing in the Kern River.

At 12:45pm on July 1, 2019, Kern County Sheriff’s Office was called for a report of a woman missing in the Kern River. 

A witness last saw the 41-year-old woman as she was going down river in a circular inflatable raft off Keysville Beach at Keysville North.

A press conference was held last week, of the dangers and safety of the Kern River.

Efforts to locate the woman are currently underway by boat, deputies on the ground, and helicopter. KCSO Kern Valley deputies, Air Support, Kern Valley Search and Rescue, and the Kern County Fire Department are all assisting in the search.
