LASD Deputy Involved In A Shooting in LIttlerock
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating a deputy involved shooting which resulted in the injury of a male White adult.
The incident occurred on June 14, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. on the 34000 block of 133rd Street East, Littlerock. Detectives have learned that deputies attempted to contact a named suspect of a 10851 VC (driving a car without the owner’s consent) suspect. As deputies attempted to contact the suspect, who was on foot, he ran away from the deputies. As he ran, the suspect produced a firearm from his clothing. After a foot pursuit, the suspect turned toward one of the deputies with the firearm in hand, at which time a deputy involved shooting occurred. The suspect was struck once on the upper torso and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The suspect’s firearm was recovered at the scene. It was later determined to be a replica firearm. The involved deputies were not injured. The investigation is ongoing, there is no additional information available at this time.
