LA County Supervisors Reestablish Reward Offer in the Suspicious Disappearance of Monique Figueroa
On May 19, 2015, at approximately 4:00 a.m., 27-year-old Monique Figueroa disappeared after she was last seen by her father while driving away from her residence in the 7200 block of East Avenue U-12 in the unincorporated area of Littlerock.
The victim’s 2004 burgundy-colored Mercedes Benz was subsequently discovered on Saturday, May 30, 2015, in the unincorporated area of Juniper Hills.
The victim is described as a Hispanic, female with shoulder-length brown hair, and hazel eyes. It is unknown what type of clothing the victim was wearing when she was last seen.
The $20,000 reward offer approved by this Board on August 16, 2016, expired on February 24, 2017, reestablished on January 22, 2019, and subsequently expired on April 21, 2019. To date, LASD investigators have received no viable clues regarding the victim’s suspicious disappearance.
LASD investigators believe the reinstatement of the reward might encourage witnesses to come forward and provide information to this investigation, and bring closure to a very distraught family. Any individuals with information about this crime are urged to contact LASD’s Homicide Bureau or Crime Stoppers.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) investigators believe the victim disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and there is a good likelihood foul play was involved.
