Ensure you are not a victim of a "smash and grab" theft by securing your valuable items!

Most people become victims of crimes of opportunity. Crimes such as "smash and grab" thefts occur when residents leave valuable items visible and easily obtainable. Purses, laptops, cell phones and wallets should always be locked up and out of view. Leaving your purse in the front seat, your vehicle windows rolled down, your vehicle unlocked or your cell phone on the dash, makes you an easy victim and a target for would be thieves.

We encourage our residents to be a proactive partner with our deputies in keeping our community safe. Lock up your valuables in your trunk and double check your vehicle doors before you leave. And as always, report any suspicious activity. If you see something, say something!
