City of Lancaster to Conduct Comprehensive Pothole Repair Effort Next Week

The City of Lancaster will place all available Public Works crews on pothole repair duty next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, January 22, 23 and 24. In an effort to ensure as many locations as possible are addressed as part of this restoration project,
City crews will canvas Lancaster streets in a grid pattern, with all essential repair materials in tow. As potholes are discovered, they will be fixed. As such, Public Works crews will be working diligently in the streets throughout these three days and citizens are being asked to be cognizant of crew presence while traveling through the community.
“The recent rain has created increased areas of concern regarding safe travel throughout our City, and City crews intend to tackle as much as they can in a concentrated period of time to make significant headway in resolving many of the pothole issues,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “Everyone’s patience and understanding is greatly appreciated as these crews work tirelessly to continue to improve our local streets.”
The City of Lancaster receives and responds to pothole notifications on an ongoing basis via the City’s Inform Lancaster mobile app, as well as via the City’s website. For more information, check out this video: https://youtu.be/bdk508RbNAQ
