Sunday, July 1 - Sunday, August 5 – Summer Hours at the Park Sites, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 8-12 pm & 4-8 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Park staff will be providing fun, engaging activities all summer long for kids and the entire family. Please visit your preferred park for a monthly calendar.

Sunday, July 1 – Retro Day Family Field Games, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 9 to 11 am. Bring your family and friends out to the park for some good old fashioned fun! Try your hand at some badminton, bocce or croquet! See park staff for details.

Monday, July 2 – Mondays in Motion, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 5 - 6pm. Park staff will offer entry-level skills for a variety of sports. Ages 5+.

Tuesday, July 3 - Housing Rights Legal Clinic with Neighborhood Legal Services, 9 am – 5 pm at SAVES, 1002 E Ave Q-12. The NLS team provides free assistance to individuals and families dealing with fair housing, unsafe conditions, mobile home residency law, loan modification, fraud, consumer debt, Section 8, legal problems and landlord/ tenant problems. Walk-ins are welcome or call 1-800-433-6251 to make an appointment or speak with an in-take advocate.

Tuesday, July 3 – Tots Hour, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 9:30-10:30 am. Tots will be provided with hands-on, free activities that give them the opportunities to explore their world through a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences. Ages 2-5.

Tuesday, July 3 – #RockTheArtPalmdale, Domenic Massari and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 4-5 pm. Come join the rock movement and paint a rock with the intention to hide it for another person to find. Supplies are provided on a first come basis. Ages 5+.

Thursday, July 5 – Coffee with a Cop – McDonald’s, 131 E. Palmdale Blvd, 9-10:30 am.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Attendees may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages. Food trucks Kona Ice and Taqueria Don Pancho will be on site. New this year, free line dance lessons and kids activities!

Friday, July 6 – Bilingual Storytime, Palmdale City Library, 10 am. Stories and songs in English and Spanish with Miss Maria. All ages.

Friday, July 6 – Family Dance Night, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 4:30-7pm. Learn the moves to popular dance songs like the Cupid Shuffle or the Cha Cha Slide. All ages.

Saturday, July 7 – Social Striders, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings. Group meets at 8 am. Come out and enjoy Palmdale’s beautiful parks with your fellow park walkers, walk as little or as much as you want!

Saturday July 7 – Baby Lapsit Storytime – Palmdale City Library, 9:30 am. This program is intended to promote early literacy skills and motor coordination through songs, rhymes, puppets and stories. Please feel free to bring a blanket or favorite toy.

Thursday, July 12 – Music in the Parks, Poncitlan Square, 5:30-7:30 pm. Enjoy great Rockabilly tunes from Mama’s Hot Sauce – all while enjoying a beautiful Palmdale summer evening! Registration - Palmdale Works! Youth Job Academy Summer Session: Tuesdays and Thursdays July 10 – 26 4-6 pm. The Academy provides training on applying for and retaining a first job.
