Lake Los Angeles community residents were the largest group of participants, on the Free Disposal Da
Lake Los Angeles - I have reviewed the statistics from the April 14, 2018 Free Disposal Day and the Lancaster Landfill & Recycling Center. Once again, Lake Los Angeles community residents were the largest group of participants. Josh Mann
My recap is below:
In total we had 289 loads delivered to the facility that day. Of these, 273 were from unincorporated area residents and 80 (or about 28% of all loads) were from the Lake Los Angeles community, specifically.
From a materials standpoint, we received the following from Lake Los Angeles:
94.73 tons of solid waste (trash) 9 Appliances 6 CRTs/monitors 17 Tires 42 Mattresses
On behalf of our Antelope Valley Waste Management team, we thank Supervisor Barger and her staff, Los Angeles County staff and involved residents (that’s you Shirley!) for helping to get the word out.
