Friday, June 1- Friday, August 1 – Summer Hours at the Airpark, Joe Davies Heritage Airpark, 9:30 am. MONDAY – CLOSED, Tuesday – 10 am to 2 pm, Wednesday – 10 am to 2 pm, Thursday – 10 am to 2 pm, Friday - Sunday 9 am to 2 pm. Free and open to the public during these hours.

Saturday, June 2 – Social Striders, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings. Group meets at 8 am. Come out and enjoy Palmdale’s beautiful parks with your fellow park walkers, walk as little or as much as you want!

Monday, June 4 – Indiana Jones Film Fest, Palmdale City Library, 1:30 pm. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG). Free admission and popcorn, open to all ages.

Monday, June 4 – Mondays in Motion, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 5-6 pm. Park staff will be offering entry-level skills for a variety of sports. Ages 5+.

Tuesday, June 5 - Housing Rights Legal Clinic with Neighborhood Legal Services, 9 am – 5 pm at SAVES, 1002 E Ave Q-12. The NLS team provides free assistance to individuals and families dealing with fair housing, unsafe conditions, mobile home residency law, loan modification, fraud, consumer debt, Section 8 legal problems and landlord/ tenant problems. Walk-ins are welcome or call 1-800-433-6251 to make an appointment or speak with an in-take advocate.

Sunday, June 10 – Retro Day Family Field Games, Domenic Massari Park and Marie Kerr Park Community Buildings, 9-11 am. Bring your family and friends out to the park for some good old fashioned fun! Try your hand at some badminton, bocce or croquet! See park staff for details.

Thursday, June 21 – “Soul Centered” Life Coaching – Palmdale City Library, 5:30 pm. The program will be led by Jasmin Knauer, who holds a master’s degree in spiritual psychology with a special emphasis in conscious health and healing.

REGISTRATION: Palmdale Works! Youth Job Academy

Summer Session: Tuesdays and Thursdays July 10 – 26, 4-6 pm

The Academy provides training on applying for and retaining a first job. Designed to help students navigate the dos and don’ts of the application and interview process as well as review practices and behaviors that lead to success in the workplace, it is free and open to students ages 15-18.
