MOAH Invites the Community to CEDARFEST Student, an Evening of Art, Music, Food and Fun on April 9
Lancaster’s Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR are excited to announce that the Museum’s 31st Annual High School Art Exhibition will be hosted at the Cedar Center for the Arts, a venue which has been recognized as a community hub of art and culture for years.
The student-driven exhibition will kick off with CEDARFEST Student, a festival and awards ceremony celebrating the young artists. The event will take place on Saturday, April 9 from 4 to 8 p.m., with the annual awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. The festival will feature art performances and demonstrations; a DJ; college recruiters; and well-known food truck, Zodiac Grill. This highly-anticipated event promises an unforgettable evening for students and community members alike. When viewing the art, the public is invited to share photos of their favorite pieces on Instagram using #CEDARFESTSTUDENT. In addition, students are encouraged to vote for their favorite pieces by using #CEDARFESTSTUDENTCHOICE, as the artwork with the most votes on Instagram will receive a special prize following the exhibition. All exhibiting students will receive an electronic catalog listing the participating artists and their displayed works. Media categories featured in this year’s exhibition include: painting, drawing, ceramics, digital and film photography, 2D and 3D mixed media, and short film. Following the festival, the exhibition will remain on display through Saturday, May 7. The exhibit can be viewed during MOAH:CEDAR’s regular hours of operation, Thursday through Sunday, from 2 to 8 p.m.
