TED Talks Showing at the Palmdale City Library

PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a viewing of selected TED talks on Monday, March 7 at 6 pm at the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd.
This free, mind-expanding program is open to the public, and participants will get to hear about some of the greatest developments in society today.
“Come expand your horizons as we view some of the very best TED Talks,” said Library Director Thomas Vose.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
