You too can be a Friend!
Lake Los Angeles - If you are interested in volunteering or sponsoring a Friends of the Parks event, please contact Regina Bradley at the Park or go to the Park Association’s webpage and leave a message.
Everybody knows somebody who can help. There are many ways you can help.
Great parks don’t just happen. They reflect the loyalty and support of their Friends members, donors and community residents. Some can work an event at the snack bar. You can donate fun baskets for the drawings at Family Movie Nights. Make a suggestion!
The Friends of the Parks in Lake Los Angeles was formed to operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in the State of California. Its direction will be determined by the needs of the community. LLA Friends of the Park is dedicated to supporting the development and enhancement of the Park programs, services, facilities and planning.
The Friends of the Park has been established to help insure continued, measured growth and enhancement of facilities and services, especially concerning the special assessment. Direction needs to be given to the quality of and excellence in recreational programming. Friends ask that each of you join with them for the benefit of ourselves, our families, our neighbors and our whole community.
It’s a great time to get involved with Friends of Lake LA Park and help shape the future of our Park. What do you imagine the Friends can accomplish? If it is important to you to be a part of a membership-based group that supports, promotes, and provides input on the future of the Park, now is the time!
Do you find yourself wanting to talk to park visitors about caring for the park? When people have a good time in the park because you’ve drawn them in with a good event, they’ll feel better about the park and be more likely to respect it and support it in the future. Take every opportunity to bring more people into both the general and the Friends group. There’s power in numbers.
The old saying holds true; many hands make light work.
Let the word go out! Friends don’t just talk, they do something.
