2016 Lancaster Corporate Challenge Registration Deadline Extended to January 22
Registration for the City of Lancaster’s fourth annual Lancaster Corporate Challenge (LCC) has been extended to January 22, 2016. Event coordinators are expecting more registrants from local organizations to form teams for this community-wide competition which promotes teambuilding, fitness, and fun. Open to all Antelope Valley organizations (businesses, schools, churches, etc.), the Corporate Challenge provides an opportunity for groups to participate in unifying, active, and morale-building activities, rooted in the spirit of friendly competition. LCC is coordinated by the City’s Wellness Committee and is designed to create and foster a community-wide movement toward healthy lifestyles – a main factor toward reducing overall health care costs. For the fourth annual Lancaster Corporate Challenge, the Wellness Committee has revamped the list of events, adding a talent show, range shooting, and a field day challenge. The 2016 LCC will feature the following competitions: 5k run/walk & opening ceremony, bowling, 8-ball billiards, range shooting, golf, horseshoes, indoor volleyball, kickball, a field day challenge, scavenger hunt, softball, and talent show. The public is invited to participate in the official kickoff event, a 5k run/walk and opening ceremony, on February 20. The LCC will conclude in May with the talent show event, benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Wellness Committee is also actively looking for community partners to help facilitate the events, as well as sponsors to assure the events remain affordable for participants. Bronze, Silver, and Gold level sponsorship opportunities are still available. Sponsors receive a variety of benefits which are detailed in the LCC registration packets.
