The Santa Clarita Calgrove Fire Forces Evacuations and Closures of Highways.


Calgrove fire this afternoon caused the closure of the 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita. Fire officials reported the partial closure of Interstate 5 and evacuations due to the vicinity of the fire Horses and other large animals can be evacuated to Pierce College 6201 Winnetka Ave, Woodland Hills, CA 91371 At 4:30 pm, CHP reported the reopening of lanes on the I-5 with considerable along nearby highways delays.

Sheriff's Department Los Angeles County (LASD) is coordinating the evacuation of the neighborhoods affected by the fire.The shelter for evacuees is in West Ranch High School 26255 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita.
